At the end of the spring 2022 semester, Pepperdine University’s student-led academic journal Global Tides published its sixteenth volume. The journal is intended to highlight exceptional interdisciplinary undergraduate research in the humanities, religion, social science, and international studies.
In fall 2021, the student editorial board––led by Arina Cho, Jaclyn Rothman, Lanie Jones, Raymond Rider, and Jakob Dammen––began work on the journal, soliciting submissions, planning and implementing their rigorous peer-review process, and finalizing the digital journal.
“I feel very grateful for this year’s team of editors and authors,” senior editor Arina Cho shares. “My favorite part was reading the works of so many talented student writers across multiple disciplines.”
